Sorry to hear all of that and fully understand and hope you will get better soon.
If you are using windows 7 (great OS) you can still try the above just the DISM /restorehealth command won't work so you can start from sfc /scannow and only if sfc is telling you that is unable to repair something you can download the Microsoft System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) to do exactly what DISM does in Windows 10/11.
1. Go to the Microsoft Update Catalog and search for KB947821.

2. Download and run the version that matches your PC (x86 for 32-bit or x64 for 64-bit).
3. This installer acts as a system scanner. It will automatically check the system for corruption and repair the component store in the background. It can take anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes to complete.
note that these are preliminary steps but if you trust that your windows 7 is fine you can just go ahead with the search troubleshooting and index rebuild
